Now, a year and a half after launch, Kentico has recognized our work by selecting the domovyok.cz project for its Site of the Month section.

Now, a year and a half after launch, Kentico has recognized our work by selecting the domovyok.cz project for its Site of the Month section.
There are projects that give us double the pleasure – not only are we happy with a job well done, but we also feel good about making life easier for people in difficult situations. For the Olomouc Region, we created domovyok.cz – a website for those interested in social services, which serves as a practical guide for choosing social services. It allows people to easily and simply find the right service for their loved ones.
In collaboration with our colleagues at PUXdesign, we built the entire project on Kentico's CMS Xperience, which featured our work in its February Site of the Month section.
What makes our project stand out
The theme of February's competition was clarity for editors. The domovyok.cz website earned bonus points for its simple content management. Clerks and civil servant employees can easily update and edit the site without it distracting them from their daily agenda and client meetings. The website also earned additional points for its clarity for visitors. With just a few clicks, people can easily find the information they are looking for.
A virtual visit to the retirement home
What does it look like there? What is the atmosphere like? Will my loved ones like it there? We have been able to answer many of these questions for potential social service users with our virtual tour.
Visitors select the area of social services on the main page. Then they select one of the many organizations in the Olomouc Region — we have created a virtual tour for most of them. This allows people to take a look at the facility and visit it virtually from the comfort of their own home. Thanks to its responsiveness, the tours can be easily loaded on any device — computer, mobile phone, or tablet.
A government website where you can find what you are looking for
It is no secret that government websites tend to be robust and confusing. With the help of the advanced features of the Xperience system, we have managed to make a large amount of information clearer, because that is what searching for information is all about.
Filtering, maps, and search are among the features that are often not seen on government websites. This is a great pity, and we are glad that we can gradually improve the situation in Czechia. People looking for the best social services for their loved ones will certainly appreciate it.
Domovyok.cz is simply a passion of ours
We spend a lot of time at the computer — programming, designing, and post-producing. But with every project, we also go out into the field to get to know the environment, photograph the spaces, and talk to the people whose work our creations are meant to simplify. Sometimes we meet clients and see how meaningful and useful our work can be. How our virtual tours and websites really help them in difficult life situations. And we are grateful for such clients.
